There are various types of clothing labels. Including woven labels, all kinds of printing labels , patches etc. There's a lot of detailed differences in each category. Take tshirt as the example, there are round collar, a v-neck, and a POLO neck.
How many kinds of woven labels we have? They are damask woven labels (the most common one), satin woven labels ,cotton woven labels,woven edge labels, high density labels and so on.

Today we will introduce the differences between damask woven labels and satin woven labels.
What in common is that they both use polyester as basic material. The technique is the same by woven alternately from warp and weft.  Warp yarn is like the longitude of the earth, the same as weft yarn for latitude of the earth.One is vertical and one is horizontal.
The yarns of damask woven labels are fixed black and white. So generally when we see the background color is white, or the background color is light , the label warp is white. For black or dark woven label, warp is black. It is woven by using warp yarn and weft yarn alternately.
Colors can be up to 8 colors. The machine is the same to make satin woven labels and damask woven labels. But what satin weave label pursues is a softness of base color. That means,the density of the warp yarn is very dense, so the background color of the satin woven label is very beautiful, but the logo design will have a lot of small dots.Because the pattern is formed by weft woven on the warp.The warp yarn is too dense and the weft does not have enough space to display the pattern.
Although their equipment for those two kinds of labels is the same, but the debugging of the equipment is very time-consuming. That's why most of equipments only produce fixed type of labels.
