Igingle has been engaged in clothing labeling for more than 8 years with rich experience in various cases. Today we talk about "What's the difference between iron on backing woven labels, adhesive stick backing woven labels and sewing on woven labels". This is a very classic question.
Let's start with the simplest sewing on woven labels.
It is the most commonly used woven reed. Only this type can have a variety of folding methods.
The reverse side of the woven label is without any other decoration, and the entire label is woven.
The customer needs to sew it on the clothes with a sewing machine. The most common collar labels, hem tags, woven labels on hats, etc. are all sewing on woven labels.
So what's so special about iron on backing woven labels?
Literally, it requires high temperature pressing to be fixed on the fabric. Yes, it does.
You can use your own household iron, heat up to the wool position, and heat for about 12-15 seconds. After the label cools down, you will find that it is firmly fixed on it. This process is a physical reaction, non-toxic and harmless, and very environmentally friendly. And wash at room temperature, will not fall off.
Many customers do not use sewing machines, so they choose this woven label. But its disadvantage is that it cannot be folded. Because all folding methods require high temperature setting, hot melt adhesives will melt at high temperatures. This is its lonly imitation.
The last kind of adhesive stick backing is the least common one.
Because of its rarity, customers often confuse it with iron on backing. It is a product similar to a sticker. Many customers like to stick it on luggage, desks and so on.
This type of label is inaccessible to water. Once it encounters water, its viscosity drops immediately and it easily falls off. So this is a woven label not suitable for clothing. Because clothes must be washed!
